What’s on my February TBR 2026
Creating a TBR list can be a great guide to follow for meeting your reading goals. My February tbr, however, also has another function- to help me escape the cold and the grey which has engulfed England this Winter.
If you’re anything like me, you’re super nosey and love getting the tea on what other’s are hoping to read in the upcoming month. Don’t worry, you’re in the right place. Let’s plan our February tbr together for a month of productive reading.
Whether you are looking for inspiration, or just being nosey, follow along to find ideas to add to your own monthly reading tbr.
This post is all about what’s on my February tbr reading list.

It seems I’m craving emotional destruction this February

Babel by R.F. Kuang
Fantasy, dark academia
Why I’m Excited:
The hype around Babel is impossible to ignore, and Iโm officially giving in. Babel is a dark academic fantasy read set in Oxford that revolves around a friendship group of language scholars, and an imposing empire of colonialism. It promises academic drama, magic, and emotional destruction in equal measure. I canโt wait (and honestly, I canโt take the FOMO any longer).
Lord of the Flies by William Golding
Classic, dystopian
Why I’m Excited:
Working in the English department of a school means I am surrounded by reading inspiration constantly, and Lord of the Flies is a title that has been peaking my interest. The story is a narrative of isolation and hierarchy as a group of boys are stranded on an island with only each other for survival. With no adults in sight i’m excited to see how structure crumbles and fabricates.
I’m expecting this to be a comfortable binge read.
Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
Classic, gothic
Why I’m Excited:
On the 13th, the film adaptation is released, and you can absolutely count on me being in the cinema with a bucket-sized portion of popcorn. Iโm not usually someone who gets hyped for new movie releases, but for some reason this one has completely got me. However, whether itโs the Jacob Elordi and Margot Robbie effect, my inner literature geek making a surprise appearance, or a mix of both, Iโm genuinely so excited.
Thereโs something really interesting about seeing such a heavy, intense classic brought back into the spotlight by actors who are so present in pop culture right now. The novel already carries a huge aura, and so this feels like the perfect excuse to finally make time for Wuthering Heights.
