50 Insanely Gorgeous Book Challenge Template Printables For The Best Reading Year Yet

This article is all about the most gorgeous, free, book challenge template printables.

Book Challenge Template

I am so obsessed with creating new goals, especially when it comes to reading. As someone who can get very easily side tracked if I am not working towards something, having a little boost of external motivation really goes a long way.

I got into reading challenges back almost a decade ago, when I used to love watching my favourite booktubers complete various reading challenges. I really wanted to try them for myself, so I tried the 100 book challenge, the alphabet book challenge, and even the around the world book challenge.

If you’ve ever completed a reading challenge you know how fun much fun they can be! Over my time working with readers, I have created some super fun reading challenge templates. But with the new year, I wanted to create even more!

So, if you have a goal to hit this year, and would like some extra motivation, I have created and compiled 50, yes 50, book challenge template printables that i’m super excited to share with you.

These can be used digitally or as a printable. Reading is for everyone, so I have made all of these free.

Without further ado, this post is all about book challenge template printables that will make this year, the best reading year yet.

How to use

These book challenge template printables are super easy to download and use! Simply click anywhere in bold where it says “Download”, and your printable will be sent straight to your email shortly after.

Once you’ve downloaded your template, you can either print it at home or use it digitally. For the best results when printing, I recommend using cardstock paper so your pages feel a little sturdier and your pens won’t show through as easily.

Prefer to keep things digital? You can also download your template and use it straight from your iPad or tablet, which is super perfect if you love keeping all your reading plans in one place!

Recommended Supplies

If you’re printing your book challenge template, here are a few of my favourite supplies to make it extra fun:

  • Coloured pencils
  • Gel pens
  • Biro pens
  • Highlighters

100 book challenge printable free pdf

The 100 book challenge is one of the most reading challenges to do. The goal is to read 100 books in a year, which is 2 books a week!

This is a challenge which is tough for a reason!

Tip- read lots of short books at the beginning of the year so you have time later in the year for the bigger reads.

Colour in as you go. These are so much fun to use, and its a great visual reminder to see how close you are to your goals.

Alphabet reading challenge template

This is the challenge i’m bring into 2027, I feel like I will discover some really good books this way. It will also really force me out of my comfort zone.

Finding a book starting with z might be a challenge in itself though.

The goal here is to read a book for every letter of the alphabet, from A to Z!

This is a challenge that will definitely make you think outside the box and pick up books you might not normally reach for!

Around the world reading challenge

The Around the World reading challenge is the perfect way to explore the world without ever leaving your reading nook! The goal is to read books set in, written by authors from, or inspired by different countries around the world.

This is a challenge that will push you outside of your usual reading habits and introduce you to new cultures, authors and stories from places you might never have explored before!

Tip: Don’t worry about reading every book in a different language! Translated fiction is a brilliant way to discover incredible international authors while still enjoying a book you can easily read.

Read the rainbow challenge

The Read the Rainbow reading challenge is such a fun way to add a little more colour to your reading year! The goal is to read a book for every colour of the rainbow, choosing books based on the colour of their covers.

This is a challenge that will encourage you to pick up books you might not normally choose and make your bookshelf look extra colourful along the way!

Habit Tracker Printable

A habit tracker is a simple but effective way to keep track of the little habits you want to build into your daily routine. Whether you’re trying to read more, drink more water, journal every day or simply create a healthier routine, ticking off each day can be surprisingly motivating!

This is a challenge that is all about consistency rather than perfection. Watching those little boxes fill up can give you the motivation to keep going, even on days when you don’t feel like it!
